BARACK OBAMA'S FIRST HUNDRED DAYS Day 45 - March 5, 2009
President Obama, fading in the polls after only 45 days in office, is thinking of bringing Hillary Clinton into his administration, according to informed sources. The first step, though, would be for the Secret Service to hire a food taster. Mr. Obama confirmed reports that he does consult with former President Bill Clinton. The relationship is cordial, the president said, although he wishes Mr. Clinton would stop calling him "sonny." The president marked the anniversary of the first full day of the Roosevelt administration in 1933. "It was the beginning of the 'good deal,'" the president said. When an aide corrected him and told him it was the "New Deal," Obama remarked that it's the big ideas that count, not the details. President Obama launched a new multi-billion-dollar national-service program that would have new college graduates go into inner cities to teach basic English. The first step of the plan is to have new college graduates learn basic English. Michelle Obama said that she recently met some Americans who weren't mean. She took their names and will pen pal with them. Secretary of Melting Al Gore predicted that an approaching snow storm would melt quickly and flood Washington, destroying most of the city. The secretary is now undergoing treatment, but still insists on wearing his water wings.
