July 3 (Bloomberg) -- Just as wool clothing shrinks in a hot wash, sheep on a remote Scottish island are getting smaller from one generation to the next as temperatures rise.  The average Soay sheep on Hirta island off western Scotland decreased in weight by 81 grams (3 ounces) a year for more than two decades, researchers said in the journal Science. That’s because they have to eat less in their early months to survive winters that became shorter and milder, they wrote.

A few questions please:  1)  Hasn't the Earth been cooling in the last ten years?  2) Why is it that people are getting larger?

MAJOR NEWS BULLETIN:  ATLANTA, July 3 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network the Weather Channel has announced an end to the smooth jazz playing in the background of its "Local on the 8s" segments.  Geoffrey Darby, who joined the network as executive vice president of programming in February, said the segments will now feature soft rock songs instead of the smooth jazz that has accompanied the local weather segments for years, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday.

They had to bring in a new guy to do this?  How many committee meetings?  Did they measure the effect on global warming?

SEOUL, South Korea — In an apparent first, North Korea — a country that struggles to feed its 24 million people — has aired a beer commercial on state television.  The advertisement, which lasted nearly three minutes after a news program on Thursday, showed a grinning Korean man with sweat on his face holding a glass of beer, with a caption that read, "Taedong River Beer is the pride of Pyongyang."  The commercial said the beer relieves stress and improves health and longevity. It also showed images of a pub it said was in the capital of Pyongyang, filled with people drinking.

I can't wait for the reaction of Western leftists, who want to put warning labels on everything from cough medicine to Cheerios.
