DEERFIELD, Ill., June 4 (UPI) -- Police in suburban Chicago said a man who recognized his wife grabbing a child's money in security camera footage identified her for authorities.
Deerfield, Ill., Deputy Police Chief Tom Keane said the man approached a patrol officer after recognizing his wife in the Baskin-Robbins security footage and told the officer that she was the culprit in the May 15 incident, the Chicago Tribune reported Thursday.

Social note:  The Obamas turn up in Paris this evening, but have declined a dinner invitation from the couple next door: the Sarkozys.  President Obama’s reluctance to spend more than minimum time with the French leader on his visit for the D-Day anniversary has come as an embarrassment to the Elysée Palace.

Well, let's see - he didn't arrange for Queen Elizabeth II to be invited to the D-Day ceremonies, he's clamped down hard on Israel, he's imposed new travel restrictions on people entering from Canada, and now he won't chow down with the French president.  I say it's high time the White House figured out a way to insult Australia.  Let's get with it.

MONTREAL, June 3 (UPI) -- A Montreal man said Wednesday he delivered his wife's baby at a city hospital last month because there was no medical staff on hand to help.
Mark Schouls told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. he got his wife, Karine Lachapelle, to Royal Victoria Hospital in time the night of May 12 and was told it appeared the birth was hours away. But early on May 13 when their son wouldn't wait any longer to be born, and no doctor or nurse was there, he took matters into his own hands.

If the left gets its way, this is what American health care will look like in ten years.  Look, it's easy.  The head comes out first...
