OCTOBER 13, 2009 SUTTON BONNINGTON, England, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- A 74-year-old British break dancer was ordered to pay back $4,740 in disability benefits after he displayed his skills on "Britain's Got Talent." The routine performed by Fred Bowers, 74, on the show, which included spins on his head and other acrobatic feats, drew the attention of officials at the Department for Work and Pensions, which was paying Bowers $79 a month to go toward transportation due to an injured leg, the Daily Mail reported Monday. So he showed his fraud on national television. He should get the disability benefits for dumbness alone.
OCTOBER 12, 2009 TORONTO (Reuters) - A Canadian truck driver has been fined for smoking in his vehicle because it is considered his workplace, a police spokeswoman said on Friday. A police officer saw the 48-year-old trucker driving on a highway in southwestern Ontario with a cigarette in his mouth on Wednesday, and gave him a C$305 ($290) ticket. Warning: This kind of nuttiness will be coming here soon if the powers that we elected in 2008 get their dream.
