AUGUST 3, 2010 NORWOOD, Ohio, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio said they arrested a woman accused of drunkenly dialing 911 and telling dispatchers she was looking for a date. Norwood police said Bernadette Music, 43, called 911 four or five times July 26 to ask dispatchers to go out with her, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday. And they arrested her for this? I get the feeling this is a low-crime area.
AUGUST 2, 2010 MAJOR CRIME NEWS: BONN, Germany (AP) -- The U.N. sanctioned two activist groups Monday after a Saudi Arabian nameplate was vandalized at a recent climate change conference. Three members of the World Wildlife Fund and Oxfam International were barred from future meetings for taking the Saudi plate at a June meeting, breaking it into pieces and distributing photographs of it in a toilet bowl. At the UN, defacing a Saudi nameplate is a Class A felony. We understand that UN delegates are still getting over their shock at the offense. Some have even cancelled nine-course dinners. These international criminals got off easy. If they deface an Iranian nameplate, it's the noose.
AUGUST 1, 2010 MADISON, Wis., July 30 (UPI) -- Police in Wisconsin said three young men reported being robbed at gunpoint while attempting to buy marijuana from a "friend of a friend." Madison police said an 18-year-old Madison man, a Verona 17-year-old and a Fitchburg 19-year-old were planning to buy some marijuana Tuesday in celebration of the 17-year-old's birthday, The (Madison) Capital Times reported Friday. How many times do parents have to explain that you must know your drug dealer personally? You'd think the Drug Dealers Association would go after impostors.

NEW YORK, July 29 (UPI) -- A New York judge tossed a man's disorderly conduct summons for wearing saggy pants, saying the Constitution protected his right to look "foolish." We're making progress when a judge at least decides that it looks foolish.
JULY 29, 2010 Chelsea's wedding news: Another area manse rumored to be serving the family over the weekend will be Glenburn, where the Clintons are said to be staying over the weekend. Glenburn is the Rhinebeck home of Eric and Andrea Colombel. Andrea Colombel is the daughter of billionaire financier and longtime Clinton supporter George Soros. Just thought you'd like to know the company they keep. I wonder if super-leftist Soros will be a guest.
