THERMAL, Calif. (AP) - A Southern California school teacher has been arrested for allegedly teaching while drunk. Toro Canyon Middle School teacher Tonya Neff was taken to the Indio jail Tuesday afternoon and booked for investigation of felony child endangerment.
Maybe this explains some of the stuff being taught.

ROSCOMMON, Ireland, March 27 (UPI) -- Two incompetent thieves who threw priceless 4,000-year-old Irish jewelry into a dumpster have received suspended sentences for the crime. Robert Dempsey and Anthony Dowling, both Dublin residents, were given consideration because they helped police locate the national treasures, The Irish Times reported.
Time off for dumbness. What a concept.

EXNING, England, March 26 (UPI) -- A British widow said she took her husband's ashes on the 60,000-mile world tour he always wanted in life but never had because of his fear of flying.
He found the ideal way to cure that fear.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A pit bull mix in Tennessee has been sentenced to obedience training after his dogged attack on a local police car. Winston didn't bite anybody, but he mauled a Chattanooga police car in what might have been a confused attempt to take a bite out of crime. The persistent pooch managed to tear off a section of the front bumper and damage the tires.
He tore off a part of the bumper? A dog did this? Who made this car? Why do I want to avoid buying it?

From The Times of London: The Science Museum is revising the contents of its new climate science gallery to reflect the wave of scepticism that has engulfed the issue in recent months. The decision by the 100-year-old London museum reveals how deeply scientific institutions have been shaken by the public’s reaction to revelations of malpractice by climate scientists. The museum is abandoning its previous practice of trying to persuade visitors of the dangers of global warming. It is instead adopting a neutral position, acknowledging that there are legitimate doubts about the impact of man-made emissions on the climate.
Now that is progress. Finally, we have an admission that intelligent people can actually question, and even doubt, scientists. We don't see that admission coming yet from the Obama administration.

CHICAGO, March 23 (UPI) -- Chicago police said a motorist pulled over for reckless driving was arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer. Police said Obadiah Davis, 28, was pulled over at about 2:30 p.m. Friday after he nearly struck a police cruiser with his blue Ford Crown Victoria while backing out of a car wash, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Tuesday. The police report said Davis showed his license to the officer but refused to produce proof of insurance, claiming he did not need it because he was a "police officer."
It's Chicago. If only he'd impersonated a voter, nothing would have happened. Foolish man.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - A fugitive wanted for bank robbery in Michigan is in custody after police say he walked out of a Pittsburgh hospital and into a bar wearing only his hospital gown, with an intravenous needle still his arm.
Actually, he was the first victim of Obamacare.
